Omeda Restoration with
Marching Elephant Batik Pattern
This is a multi-media piece
of art. Various techniques including hand-made batik
(on 100% linen material), casting (Chip Resistant Tuf-Stone),
painting (hand painted using oil & acrylic paints),
sculpting and design were utilized to create this unique
piece. I have been able to create an unprecedented style
by incorporating the techniques mentioned above. A 16th
century Bini bronze sculpture was the inspiration in
the creation of the three Omeda figures in this work.
My goal as an artist is to be very
distinctive and unique in my style. The idea of incorporating
all of the afore mentioned concepts into one work is
an original idea that I developed specifically for this
work. Available with "Marching
Elephant" or "Jungle
Rhythm" batik pattern or "Oduwa
Arts Original Framing". Each piece is individually
hand-made; Hence, slight variations contribute to the
originality and uniqueness of each work.
